HAMBURG  - Jordan's state-owned Silos and Supply General Company has issued an international tender to buy 25,000 tonnes of milling wheat, European traders said on Thursday.

The tender deadline is July 1 and is for shipment in the first half of September

The company's tenders are separate from those issued by Jordan's trade ministry, Jordan's main state grains buyer.

The trade ministry made no purchase in a separate tender for 120,000 tonnes of wheat on Wednesday.

In recent months, the trade ministry has struggled to buy wheat and barley in tenders after the terms for quality specifications and payment were changed which reduced participation by international trading houses.
