CAIRO  - Egypt's state grains buyer, the General Authority for Supply Commodities (GASC,) bought 34,450 tonnes of soyoil in a local vegetable oils tender on Thursday, traders said.

GASC had been seeking at least 3,000 tonnes of local soyoil and 2,000 tonnes of local sunflower oil in the tender for Feb. 1-15 arrival. It received no offers for sunflower oil, traders said.

Traders gave the following breakdown of the purchase:

* Uccma: 3,450 tonnes of soyoil at 12,780 Egyptian pounds ($796.26)

* Alex co. for Seeds: 23,000 tonnes of soyoil at 12,780 Egyptian pounds.

* Watanya: 8,000 tonnes of soyoil at 12,780 Egyptian pounds.
