AMMAN — The Interior Ministry on Sunday decided to increase the number of people allowed entry into the Kingdom through the Omari border crossing between Jordan and Saudi Arabia to 2,000 per day up from 1,000, as of Sunday.

The ministry, in a statement cited by the Jordan News Agency, Petra, said that the procedure aims to provide necessary facilities to citizens returning to the Kingdom to spend the Eid Al Adha holiday and for passengers wishing to visit Jordan from Saudi Arabia and Gulf countries.

The ministry earlier allowed vaccinated people to enter the Kingdom through the Omari border crossing without the need to register on the e-platform.
