Riyadh –  The General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) announced the transference of the first foreign airlines, Etihad Airways, to Terminal (1) at the new King Abdul Aziz International Airport (KAIA), according to the authority’s statement on Tuesday.

The authority also added that all of Etihad Airways flights (round trips) would be shifted to Terminal (1) starting from Monday, 18 November.

The terminal was launched in cooperation with national and international airlines.

Spread over an area of 810,000 square metres, terminal (1) can accommodate more than 30 million passengers annually.

It also includes 220 check-in counters and 80 self-service counters, in addition to 46 gates for international and domestic flights.
