It’s hard to believe, really, that when we say “party with the Smiths”, we’re not talking about Will and Jada.

On Thursday afternoon, their kids Jaden and Willow Smith will be performing a concert at the Dubai Mall and meeting their Middle East fans. It’s time for the next generation to take over, but it feels like only yesterday we were binge-watching episodes of Fresh Prince of Bel-Air and marvelling over Jada in The Nutty Professor.

Jaden and Willow aren’t the only young’uns in the industry who come from famous families. There are plenty of hopefuls out there following in their parents’ footsteps, whether they’re on the catwalk, the big screen or our television screens.

tabloid! looks at ten famous offspring under 25 who are on their way to being known in their own right.

Jaden and Willow Smith

Ages: 17 and 14

Parents: Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith

If you want to feel inadequate about your teen years, look no further than the way Jaden and Willow have been carving out a creative, boundless space for themselves in the music and fashion industries.

Whether it’s Willow cutting her own hair or Jaden wearing dresses, the pair are always out and about making statements without even trying. On top of that, they have their own eclectic music collective dubbed MSFTSrep, and a fashion brand dubbed MSFTS.

But we mustn’t forget the simpler days when Willow taught us to whip our hair back and forth and Jaden made us bawl our eyes out alongside his dad in The Pursuit of Happyness. Definitely a pair to watch out for.

Frances Bean Cobain

Age: 22

Parents: Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love

A rocky road doesn’t even begin to sum up Cobain’s life in the limelight. Now a model and visual artist, Cobain had her first solo exhibition at the age of 17, a gloomy sketchbook of warped creatures.

But then being the daughter of two troubled rock stars — one of whom shot himself at age 27, and the other who has struggled with substance abuse and media scrutiny — couldn’t been an easy road.

She tends to keep her private life private, but she publicly responded to a Lana Del Rey interview last year in which the singer praised artists who killed themselves early, such as Cobain’s father.

“I’ll never know my father because he died young & it becomes a desirable feat because ppl like u think it’s ‘cool’,” she tweeted. “Well, it’s [expletive] not. Embrace life, because u only get one life. The ppl u mentioned wasted that life. Don’t be 1 of those ppl [sic].”

Kylie and Kendall Jenner

Age: 18 and 19

Parents: Caitlyn Jenner and Kris Jenner

Probably the most famous names on this list, Kylie and Kendall have been famous since the day they were born. Being daughters of Olympic athlete Caitlyn and media personality Kris isn’t their only claim to fame, though — they’ve also got the most famous step-sisters in the world in Kim, Khloe and Kourtney Kardashian.

The gals have been coming into their own lately, despite the news of Caitlyn’s gender transition dominating headlines.

Last year, Kendall walked the runway for Marc Jacobs, Givenchy and Chanel. Meanwhile, Kylie has been the subject of controversy on several different occasions: surgically enhancing her lips, engaging in cultural appropriation and, most significantly, dating Tyga, a rapper seven years her senior.

Miley Cyrus

Age: 22

Parents: Billy Ray Cyrus and Letitia Jean Cyrus

Miley Cyrus, born Destiny Hope Cyrus, might be the only person on this list whose fame has surpassed that of her well-known parent.

Daughter to Billy Ray Cyrus (you might known him from a little song called Achy Breaky Heart), and goddaughter to Dolly Parton, Cyrus transformed from a Disney actress to a full-blown pop star in the blink of an eye, breaking away from her younger audience with an infamous MTV Video Music Award performance, her debut album Bangerz and a nude music video for her single Wrecking Ball.

In 2011, Billy Ray claimed that TV show Hannah Montana ruined his family and caused Cyrus to spin out of control. But he later supported his daughter’s headline-grabbing antics and called her an “artist”.

“I think that all of what everyone is calling controversy now, that’s still my Miley,” he said.

Ireland Baldwin

Age: 19

Parents: Alec Baldwin and Kim Basinger

At 1.88m tall, inheriting Alec’s bold blue eyes and Kim’s striking facial structure, it’s really no shocker that Ireland Baldwin is making a name for herself in the modelling industry. In 2013, she made her editorial debut in a swimwear shoot for The New York Post, and was soon after dubbed Vanity Fair’s It Girl for the year.

Baldwin took ‘like mother, like daughter’ quite literally, too, when she starred as the younger version of her mother’s character in the film Grudge Match.

Baldwin made headlines for her romantic life last year when she started dating rapper Angel Haze.

Earvin “EJ” Johnson

Age: 23

Parents: Magic Johnson and Earlitha “Cookie” Kelly

Earvin III “EJ” Johnson is part of a new generation of celebrities who are known for sharing their over-the-top lives on reality television.

EJ, who dubs himself Prince EJ on Twitter, is particularly known for his outgoing and flashy persona on Rich Kids of Beverly Hills, which began airing on E! in January of last year.

His Twitter bio? “I am fierce royalty and you better recognise. The concrete is my runway. Forever fierce forever fabulous forever flawless.”

That about sums it up.

Pixie Geldof

Age: 24

Parents: Bob Geldof and Paula Yates

It hasn’t been an easy journey for the daughter of Irish singer Bob Geldof and British television presenter Paula Yates. Geldof lost her mum on her 10th birthday, and though the death was not ruled a suicide, it was attributed to “foolish and incautious behaviour”.

Geldof later lost her sister, Peaches, a known model and journalist, to a drug overdose in 2014.

Though Geldof has been under the radar for most of her music and modelling career, she was a cover girl for Tatler magazine in 2008, and has been the face of various promotional campaigns, including Levi’s and Diesel.

Brooklyn Beckham

Age: 17

Parents: David Beckham and Victoria Beckham

It doesn’t get more famous than Posh and Becks, now does it? The power duo have three sons and a daughter, and their oldest child, Brooklyn, is already garnering attention in the media for — you guessed it — being a model. We’re hardly surprised, what with the gene pool he belongs to.

Reports emerged just this month alleging that the 17-year-old has signed a modelling contract, and that he might even be looking into a career in Hollywood.

Though he doesn’t have extensive experience posing broodily just yet, he did make his modelling debut last year when he was featured on the cover of Man About Town magazine.

Lily-Rose Depp

Age: 16

Parents: Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis

Not only is Depp daughter to a world-famous hunk of an actor and a beautiful model-singer, she’s now also the stepdaughter of actress Amber Heard.

In 2015, Depp made her modelling debut with none other than Chanel. She also starred in the upcoming horror comedy film Yoga Hosers, alongside director Kevin Smith’s daughter, Harley Quinn Smith.

It’s safe to say that the youngster has an interest in the industry — at least for now.

Patrick Schwarzenegger

Age: 21

Parents: Arnold Schwarzeneggar and Maria Shriver

If you saw Patrick Shwarzeneggar in the street, you’d be hard-pressed to believe that he’s son to the Terminator. Where his actor-politician father is known for being muscular, stiff and a little intimidating, Shwarzeneggar possesses a gentler, more wholesome brand of handsomeness.

Son to journalist and activist Shriver, Shwarzeneggar has a philanthropic clothing line, works as a model, and has even had a couple of small film roles. He starred opposite Ariana Grande in her 2013 music video for Right There.

Most recently, it was reported that he would be part of a film dubbed North filming in Detroit, about the “remains of a post-cataclysmic world.”
