DUBAI- Egypt bought 2.1 million tonnes of local wheat from its farmers so far in the harvest season, the country's supply ministry said on Tuesday.

Egypt, the world's largest wheat importer, has said it is looking to buy around 3.6 million tonnes from its own harvest this season that started April 15.
