BAGHDAD- Egypt's state grains buyer, the General Authority for Supply Commodities (GASC,) received on Tuesday a lowest offer of $228.29 a tonne for 60,000 tonnes of Romanian wheat in an international purchase tender for the grain, traders said.

The offer was presented by Ameropa.

GASC said on Monday that it was seeking an unspecified quantity of wheat for shipment March 21-31.

At its last purchase tender on Jan. 30, GASC bought 180,000 tonnes of French wheat.

Traders gave the following breakdown of the offers received in dollars per tonne on a free-on-board (FOB) basis:

* Ameropa: 60,000 tonnes of Romanian wheat at $228.29

* Garant Logistics: 60,000 tonnes of Russian wheat at $229.99

* Glencore: 55,000 tonnes of Russian wheat at $231.86

* Posco International: 60,000 tonnes of Russian wheat at $231.99

* Grain Export: 60,000 tonnes of Russian wheat at $232.34

* Gemcorp: 55,000 tonnes of Russian wheat at $232.87

* GTCS: 60,000 tonnes of Russian wheat at $233.10

* ADM: 55,000 tonnes of Russian wheat at $235.00

* ADM: 55,000 tonnes of Russian wheat at $235.00

* Nibulon: 60,000 tonnes of Ukrainian wheat at $229.95

* Olam: 55,000 tonnes of Ukrainian wheat at $230.85

* Louis Dreyfus: 60,000 tonnes of Ukrainian wheat at $231.27

No purchase has yet been made and the tender results are expected later on Tuesday.
