It’s only poetic justice that Bollywood spy thriller Tiger Zinda Hai, filmed extensively in Abu Dhabi, is injected with a generous dose of Arabic flavour.

Gear up for the Arabic version of Swag Se Swagat, the hit song featuring Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif.

The local version is sung by Rabih Baroud and Brigitte Yaghi, while the lyrics have been translated by Mohammad Jad Malak. The Arabic song will be released online in a couple of hours. The theme of the song, which focuses on brotherhood and peace, will remain intact.

“As the song is a chartbuster here in India, and the film is shot in the Middle East and focuses on a major issue that affects the region, we were very keen to engage with audiences there. Dubbing the song in a local language is a way to connect with audiences in the Middle East, as Hindi films have huge appeal there and Salman Khan is the biggest superstar in the region,” said director Ali Abbas Zafar in a statement.

Tiger Zinda Hai, produced by Yash Raj Films, is a sequel to the 2012 blockbuster Ek Tha Tiger, and will release in the UAE on December 22.
