Riyadh: Jeddah Islamic Port (JIP) has received 30% of Saudi Arabia's merchandise imports in the first quarter of 2018, whose value reached SAR 36.89 billion.

Meanwhile, merchandise imports entered the kingdom through King Abdul Aziz Port recorded SAR 27.66 billion in Q1-18, or 22.4% of the whole merchandise goods imported by the GCC country during the same period, according to the General Authority for Statistics (GAS).

About 10.9%, 7.5%, and 7.1% of merchandise imports entered Saudi Arabia in the first three months of 2018 were unloaded at King Khalid International Airport, Al-Bathaa Land Port, King Abdulaziz International Airport, respectively.
