Abu Dhabi, UAE: Visitors to Abu Dhabi International Airport (AUH) from Pakistan and India were greeted by the green, white and saffron colors of their national flags, and steaming cups of Karak chai, to commemorate the Independence days of the two South Asian nations on the 14th and 15th of August respectively.

On 14th August, the Independence Day of Pakistan, flags and balloons with the Pakistani flag were distributed to passengers, with a Pakistani band performing traditional music to entertain visitors to Abu Dhabi. On 15th August, Indian visitors were offered Indian flags, cups of Karak chai, and floral garlands, when they passed through the Arrival Lounge of Abu Dhabi International Airport.

Pakistan and India are amongst the top travel destinations from Abu Dhabi International Airport, with airlines offering 27 routes to airports across the two countries. The passengers form Pakistan and India represent a significant portion of the airport’s annual passenger traffic.
