Muscat: An agreement has been signed by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning with Dar Al Attaa Association to build over 30 housing units for a number of citizens whose houses were damaged by cyclone Shaheen in the North Al Batinah Governorate.

"The Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning signed a memorandum of understanding with Dar Al Attaa Association to build 35 housing units for a number of citizens whose homes were damaged in the North Al Batinah Governorate as a result of the tropical condition Shaheen," Oman News Agency (ONA) said in a statement.

 

Dar Al Attaa Association will implement these housing units in the Sana’a Bani Ghafer area in the Wilayat of Al Khaboura in the North Al Batinah Governorate, including several facilities. The ministry will provide the plan and suitable lands for the construction of houses and far from the streams of the valleys to avoid possible natural disasters, prepare house designs, facilitate construction procedures and supervise the implementation process.

The construction of these houses is part of the initiative of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning to build 328 housing units for citizens whose homes have been affected by the tropical condition Shaheen.
