Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia: Technical and Vocational Training Cooperation (TVTC) and Huawei Tech. Investment Saudi Arabia Co. Ltd., a leading provider of information and communications technology (ICT) infrastructure and smart devices, announced the launch of the Tech Track Initiative in Saudi Arabia that will train 20,000 students on leading technologies. 

In line with the ICT Strategy 2023 and Saudi's Vision 2030, Tech Track Initiative will contribute to developing the ICT talent ecosystem in the Kingdom, enabling employment opportunities, and supporting the Kingdom's growing digital economy. This initiative is being launched under the successful Saudi Talent Enabling Program (STEP) by Huawei that aims to build the ICT talent ecosystem in KSA.  

Students from all Saudi universities and colleges can join the Tech Track training and certification program for free. Participants will receive three days of online training on Huawei Certified ICT Associate (HCIA) Program that will cover six technical fields – Artificial Intelligence (AI), Big Data, Internet of Things (IoT), Security, Routing & Switching, and WLAN. Students can also access the Huawei learning platforms where they can enroll themselves for training and certification in various other topics related to modern technologies. 

His Excellency Dr. Ahmed bin Fahd Al-Fahaid, the Governor of the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC), said: “The Corporation is keen to address the Kingdom’s labor market needs by enabling the local talented youth to gain technical skills and capabilities that will empower them to achieve efficiency and quality in the large projects launched by the government. We are confident that the Tech Track initiative in collaboration with our partners will contribute to train and develop Saudi's youth talents to become the Kingdom’s future ICT leaders.”

The Tech Track Initiative will take place over the next four months, where Saudi students will get an opportunity to attend up to 10 online training sessions on technical topics. Huawei’s STEP initiative includes the ICT Competition, Seeds for Future, Future Leader Program and ICT Academy for universities. The program has touched the lives of more than 10,000 Saudi students, giving them a platform to nurture and demonstrate their ICT skills and talent.
