Muscat | With the aim of providing best banking services and products to enhance customers’ experience, BankDhofar and Omantel signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to launch a co-branded rewards Visa card. The MoU, was signed by Abdul Hakeem Omar Al Ojaili, Chief Executive Officer of BankDhofar and Talal Said Al Mamari, CEO of Omantel at Omantel headquarters.

On the initiative, Abdul Hakeem Omar Al Ojaili, CEO of BankDhofar said: “At BankDhofar we are always keen to provide our customers with state-of-the-art services and products that are tailored not only to meet their needs, but to exceed their expectations. The co-branded rewards Visa card will enable customers to rack up points from BankDhofar (Rewards) programme and Omantel (Makasib) programme, which can be redeemed. BankDhofar and Omantel customers may avail for the card from any BankDhofar branch.

With BankDhofar Rewards programme customers can earn points when they use their credit cards. These points can then be redeemed through the website, allowing customers to choose from more than 300 airlines and destinations worldwide. They also have the choice of over 180,000 hotels across the globe to use the points. Additionally, the rewards programme allows customers to redeem points at various shopping outlets, restaurants, cafes, health clubs and spas.

Makasib is a loyalty programme that is designed to enhance customer experience by offering an opportunity to benefit from a diverse range of rewards by earning points when using any of Omantel mobile, fixed line, and Internet services. Makasib status points can be redeemed for free minutes and data, bill discounts and cash vouchers. The popular rewards program is divided into 4 tiers and each has its own benefits. These tiers are Al-Ufuq, Platinum, Gold and Silver. All Omantel subscribers are eligible to join Makasib program.
