Dubai: Keeping important assets such as turbines, generators, pumps, electric motors and compressors in optimum working condition is an important step in maximising reliability and productivity. Experts who gathered at the third ’Middle East Rotating Machinery Technology and Innovation Conference’ (ME RoTIC), discussed the latest technologies related to Rotating Machinery for various industries.

The event featured technologies from GCC and all over the world paving way for Oil & Gas Producers, Power Generators and Aviation industry to cope with today’s challenges including maintenance and reliability areas of machinery.

“The performance and uptime of heavy rotating equipment plays an important role in industries such as oil & gas, mining, and chemicals, and power generation. The major operations in the oil and gas industry depend upon the quality and reliability of rotating equipment and therefore, these machines form an important part of infrastructure. One of the most important metrics used in these operations is return on capital employed, which depends in large part on the availability of rotating equipment. (ME RoTIC) was designed to suit the needs of several process industries and focused on helping attendees in improving their businesses across a wide range of functions, including rotating machinery technology (turbines, engines, gearboxes, motors, generators), 3D printing, materials modifications and upgrades, advanced Diagnostics, asset reliability, maintenance & repair, and lifecycle services. It also featured breakout session that explored future technologies in pumps, compressors and seals solutions.
