Dubai, United Arab Emirates: The 6th Annual Smart Data Summit, held with the support of Dubai Blockchain Center as the Official Supporting Partner will begin in a week, on 15th April 2019 at Sofitel Dubai The Palm Resort & Spa.

H.E. Mohammad Hassan, Executive Director - National Statistics and Data Sector, Federal Competitiveness & Statistics Authority will open the summit with a welcome address. At this two-day conference, over 50 international and regional experts representing Smart Dubai, Ministry of Economy, du, Landmark Group, Virgin Mobile, Talabat, Accor Hotels, Hyatt Hotels Dubai, L’Oreal Middle East, Jumeirah Group, Emaar, RTA and Mastercard, amongst many others will share industry insights and case studies on how data analytics is driving business decisions and outcomes. The event is expected to draw over 300 senior data analytics, marketing, IT, business intelligence, digital and strategy professionals from the GCC region.

Dr. Marwan Alzarouni, CEO, Dubai Blockchain Center will deliver a presentation on Smart Data in the Age of Blockchain. Subject matter experts from Alteryx, Netapp, GraphAware, Dataiku, Cloudera, Zoho Corporation, Gemini Data, ASG Technologies, Cloudera and RIT University in Dubai will deliver presentations across both days.

Across two days, the program agenda features over 20 sessions, including five panel discussions focusing on the power of personalization, predictive or prescriptive analytics: the best fit for the retail industry, predictive analytics driving the E-commerce market, and data strategy.

Tony Evans, Marketing Science Director - Middle East and Africa and Gaming, Facebook; Totte Harinen, Senior Data Scientist, Uber – EMEA; Maha Muraish, VP – Data Monetization and Digital Channels, Etisalat and Ross Maclean, Group Chief Digital Officer, GEMS Education will headline the second day of the conference.
