Tunisia tenders for 100,000 tonnes wheat, 100,000 tonnes barley

HAMBURG - Tunisia's state grains agency has issued an international tender to purchase 100,000 tonnes of soft milling wheat and 100,000 tonnes of animal feed barley, European traders said on Thursday.

The origin was optional and the tender deadline is Friday Aug. 6, they said.

The wheat and barley are both sought for shipment between Aug. 20 and Sept. 25 depending on origin supplied in four 25,000 tonne consignments.

If supplied from eastern Europe or the Black Sea region, the wheat shipment periods for the four consignments are Sept. 1-10, Sept. 5-15, Sept. 10-20 and Sept. 15-25, traders said.

If supplied from western Europe, shipment periods for the wheat consignments are Aug. 25 to Sept. 5, Sept. 1-10, Sept. 5-15 and Sept. 10-20, traders said.
