DUBAI  - Saudi Arabia's state grain buyer SAGO said on Monday it bought 745,000 tonnes of wheat at its latest international purchasing tender.

Of the total, SAGO bought 60,000 tonnes of wheat of 11% protein at $245.37 a tonne for November delivery, the buying agency said.

It also bought 685,000 tonnes of 12.5% protein wheat at the average price of $251.13 a tonne for delivery periods between November and January.

Origins offered in the tender were the European Union, Black Sea region, North America (excluding Canada), South America and Australia with the seller having the option of selecting the origin supplied, SAGO governor Ahmad Al-Fares said in a statement.

SAGO said these purchases in dollars a tonne c&f with shipment periods in brackets, November and December arrival periods are in 2020 and January in 2021:

European traders said they expected sources for nearby shipment periods to include the European Union/Baltic Sea region. Later shipments could be sourced from a range of origins.
