HAMBURG - Jordan's state grain buyer has issued an international tender to buy 120,000 tonnes of milling wheat which can be sourced from optional origins, European traders said on Wednesday.

Tender deadline is Feb. 26.

A new tender had been expected after Jordan made no purchase in a wheat tender on Tuesday when only one trading company took part.

Jordan continues to face difficulties buying wheat and barley in tenders after it changed terms for quality specifications and payment reduced participation by international trading houses.

The new wheat tender seeks shipment in a range of possible combinations in 60,000 tonne consignments. Possible shipment periods are June 16-30, July 1-15, July 16-31 and Aug. 1-15.

A separate tender from Jordan to purchase 120,000 tonnes of animal feed barley also closes on Wednesday.
