HAMBURG - Jordan's state grain buyer has issued another international tender to purchase 120,000 tonnes of animal feed barley to be sourced from optional origins, European traders said on Monday.

Tender deadline is Jan. 23.

Jordan has struggled to purchase wheat and barley in tenders in recent months after terms were introduced which reduced tender participation by international trading houses.

But recent tenders have been more successful, with 60,000 tonnes of wheat bought on Jan. 15 and 60,000 tonnes of barley bought on Jan. 16.

The new barley tender seeks shipment in a range of possible combinations in 60,000 tonne consignments. Possible shipment periods are May 1-15, May 16-31, June 1-15 and June 16-30.

Jordan has also issued a separate tender to buy 120,000 tonnes of wheat closing on Jan. 22.
