The Inspired Group, parent of British School Bahrain, has acquired King’s College Group, UK, which has 10 leading schools under its umbrella and takes Inspired Group’s growing family of schools up to 64.
In addition to the acquisition of King’s College Group, Inspired Group is due to roll out a new pioneering artists-in-residence programme titled ‘Inspired by Berklee’. The programme is developed in partnership with Berklee, the highly distinguished institute of contemporary music and the performing arts of Boston, MA, USA and Valencia, Spain.
Nadim M Nsouli, founder, chairman & CEO of Inspired, said: “We are extremely proud of both these recent achievements. With the acquisition of King’s College Group we underscore our reputation of having only the best schools in the world join Inspired. And our partnership with Berklee College of Music ensures that we deliver the best possible education in arts and music.”
King’s College schools have pioneered the British Government´s official British Schools Overseas inspection scheme, which judges British schools abroad by the rigorous standards required in the United Kingdom. The majority of the King’s schools are currently classified as “Outstanding” in every category by the British inspectors.
Berklee College of Music has nurtured the creative and career potential of some of the world’s most inspired artists, helping them to refine their talents and go on to win hundreds of Grammys, Tonys, Oscars, and Emmys.
Education director John O’Connor, of British School Bahrain, said, “We can all benefit from the broad English National Curriculum that the King’s College Schools offer. And we are truly excited about the benefits accruing to our students through the Inspired by Berklee programme.” - TradeArabia News Service
