HAMBURG  - Algeria’s state grains agency OAIC has issued an international tender to purchase a nominal 50,000 tonnes of durum wheat, European traders said on Tuesday.

The tender closes on Wednesday, April 24, they said.

Offers must remain valid up to Thursday, April 25.

The durum can be sourced from optional origins from the 2018 or 2019 harvests. Shipment was sought in two possibilities between June 1-15 and June 16-30.

Volumes in Algeria's tenders are nominal and the country frequently purchases more than the volumes initially sought.

In its last reported durum tender on March 8, the OAIC purchased around 300,000 tonnes after also initially seeking offers for 50,000 tonnes.
