HAMBURG  - Algerian state agency OAIC is believed to have purchased about 150,000 tonnes of animal feed barley to be sourced from optional origins in a tender which closed last week, European traders said on Monday.

One trading house sold some 30,000 tonnes at about $277 a tonne c&f and a second trading house sold around 120,000 tonnes at about $281 a tonne c&f, traders said.

The tender had sought a nominal 50,000 tonnes for shipment between March 16 and March 31.
