HAMBURG  - Algerian state agency ONAB is believed to have purchased about 30,000 to 40,000 tonnes of corn expected to be sourced from Argentina in a tender which closed on Tuesday, European traders said on Wednesday.

The corn was believed to have been purchased at around $184.50 to $185 a tonne c&f.

The seller has the option to select the vessel type to be used and declare the final tonnage to be supplied before letter of credit opening, traders said.

The corn was sought for shipment between Oct. 1-15 and should come from the 2019 harvest.
