People with chronic diseases and the elderly will be prioritised for the vaccine
Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt will receive a new shipment of the Chinese Sinopharm COVID-19 vaccine as the country gets ready to starts the vaccination programme within the next few hours, the Minister of Health and Population, Hala Zayed, announced.
The shipment will include 300,000 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine as a gift from China, Zayed added in a statement on Tuesday.
People with chronic diseases and the elderly will be prioritised for the vaccine.
Late on Monday, the Ministry of Health reported 586 new COVID-19 cases, taking the tally to 183,010. The total number of COVID-19 deaths reached 10,736.
