ArabFinance: Egypt has done 244 tests of coronavirus (COVDI-19) for each one million of the population, according to the latest data on Worldometers.

Until April 6th, the country has announced a total of 1,322 infected since the first case was announced. In addition, Egypt currently has 978 active cases.

This accounts for 13 cases per each million citizens.

Egypt has a population of 102,334,404 that accounts for 1.31% of the world share in 2020, according to the latest data.

As for fatalities, a total of 85 infected individuals passed away until April 6th. This comprises 0.8 deaths per each one million of the population.

On a regional level, the UAE registered 22,244 tests per each one million citizens given a total 220,000 done tests.

The UAE’s population stands at 9,890,402 based on the latest data.

Meanwhile, Qatar has performed a total of 38,108 tests. This translates to 13,227 tests per each one million out of a total 2,881,053 citizens.

With 6,825,445 citizens nationwide, Lebanon has done 9,653 total tests which comprise 1,414 tests per each one million of the population.

It is noteworthy to mention that the majority of COVID-19 infected citizens in Egypt showed light symptoms, as announced by the Minister of Health Hala Zayed.
