ArabFinance: Egypt's Ministry of Health and Population announced 611 additional COVID-19 infections on December 19th, increasing the tally to 124,891 until press time.

The ministry reported 28 more fatalities, bringing the death toll to 7,069.

The country now has 106,481 total recoveries, after 324 new patients were discharged from quarantine hospitals, according to the statement.

The number of registered daily cases has crossed the 600 mark after five days from exceeding the 500.

Egypt, meanwhile, was detecting more than 400 daily cases for two weeks since December 2nd.
