ArabFinance: The health ministry in Egypt announced 127 new coronavirus infections as well as 11 more fatalities on October 18th.

The new divs increased the total count of cases to 105,424 and the death toll to 6,120 since the outbreak of the pandemic, the ministry noted.

An additional 90 patients were discharged from quarantine hospitals, the statement indicated, noting that this takes the total recoveries to 98,247 until press time.

Pfizer Chairman and CEO Albert Bourla recently said the COVID-19 vaccine must be proven effective, meaning “it can help prevent COVID-19 disease in at least a majority of vaccinated patients.”
