Muscat: The Ministry of Manpower has deported 477 expatriate workers for violating labour laws in Oman.

In a statement issued online by the Ministry of Manpower said: “ The Ministry, represented by the inspection team in Muscat has deported 477 expatriate workers from January 5-18, 2020 for violating labour laws. They were arrested during the inspection campaigns.”

“This comes within the efforts of the ministry to implement the provisions of the Labour Law and regulate the labour market,” the statement said.

The Ministry stressed the need to adhere to the provisions of the Labour Law and the implemented ministerial decisions.
