ArabFinance: Egypt will launch the first phase of the e-invoicing system on November 15th, with the participation of 134 companies, Al Borsa News cited Head of the Egyptian Tax Authority (ETA) Reda Abdel Qader on October 20th.

The head, meanwhile, did not disclose a timeframe of the following phase.

The ETA is expected to launch a mobile application for electronic receipts next year, according to an authority official.

Last month, Minister of Finance Mohamed Maait said the new e-invoicing system will become obligatory for all entities.
