MANAMA: Bahrain’s Cabinet has approved new measures to further develop the quality of government services provided to citizens and residents.

They were included in a memorandum by the Government Executive Committee.

Yesterday’s weekly meeting was chaired by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, at Gudaibiya Palace.

The memorandum incorporated the following:

• All government services and procedures are to be documented and published within the service-level agreement.

• To launch a secret buyer (mystery shopping) service programme to audit customer services.

The Cabinet also expressed its gratitude and appreciation to His Majesty King Hamad for his support of Team Bahrain’s relentless efforts to combat Covid, led by HRH Prince Salman.

In line with the statement issued by the King marking the conclusion of the Ashoora season, the Cabinet commended the efforts of the Interior Ministry, the Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments Ministry and the National Taskforce for Combating the Coronavirus (Covid-19), as well as the support received from various organisations and people for the success of the observance, including the Jaffari Endowments Council, religious scholars, heads of ma’atams and volunteers.

The Cabinet stressed the importance of continuing to adhere to the precautionary measures aimed at safeguarding public health.
