Abu Dhabi - Jordan is playing a key role in facing regional challenges and crises, which affect all countries, GCC media figures said.

They noted the wise leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II. High hopes are pinned on the upcoming Arab Summit, which will be held in Jordan next week, to address Arab and regional crises and align stances of Arab nations, the GCC media persons told Petra correspondence in Abu Dhabi.

The Arab summit, they added, will discuss thorny and critical issues, mainly the Syrian crisis and refugees, the situations in Yemen, Iraq and Libya.

Jordan is expected to play a pivotal role in the reconciliation efforts between Iraq and its neighbors, and bridging the rift between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Egypt, as well as efforts to boost the joint Arab action. All the Arab world's eyes are on the summit, they noted, adding that the Summit should come up with a final statement that meets the aspiration of Arab people.
