Honouring 26 brokers and real estate broker offices

Dubai, United Arab Emirates: Dubai Land Department (DLD) organised a ceremony to honour real estate brokers operating in Dubai for their outstanding performance during 2018, according to a number of select categories.

The ceremony was attended by His Excellency Sultan Butti bin Mejren, Director General of DLD; His Excellency Eng. Marwan Ahmed bin Ghalita, CEO of RERA; the event organizer; and DLD’s CEO and directors as well as representatives of real estate brokerage offices that are being honoured this year.

Bin Ghalita said: “Real estate brokers play a vital role in promoting the real estate sector in Dubai, inside and outside the Emirate, and contributing to attracting investors by highlighting the distinctive features of this sector. We are eager to ensure the rights of these key players through the regulations and legislation that we have issued, which result in optimal organization and transparency among all parties.”

Ali Abdalla Al Ali, Director of the Real Estate Licensing Department, commented: “DLD worked to find solutions to all the challenges that brokers may face and launched the smart application ‘Dubai Brokers’ to help investors search for real estate investment opportunities in Dubai as well as assist them in identifying optimal partners from the list of available brokers in the market. On this occasion, we would like to express our gratitude and appreciation to all the brokers who were honoured this year for their commitment to our plans, strategies, specific directives, and regulations which help us promote Dubai's position on the list of the best global destinations for investment, living, and working.”

Al Ali praised the valuable tasks of the brokers, which makes them key partners for DLD. He stressed that the annual honouring ceremony, which is held to celebrate the most creative of the brokers, contributes to enhancing the spirit of competition among them and motivates them to develop work mechanisms to provide distinguished services, in line with the successive developments witnessed by the growing real estate horizon in the Emirate.

This year's ceremony witnessed the honouring of eight real estate brokers and 18 brokerage offices. The event also honoured strategic partners Dubai Real Estate Institute (DREI) and Emirates Real Estate Solutions (ERES).
