Lanes on Bahrain's Khalifa Al Kabeer Highway to be closed in stages

Bahrain - Work on Khalifa Al Kabeer Highway footbridge near the Coastguard Base in Muharraq necessitates the closure of the highway in stages, the Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning Ministry said.

In the first stage, there will be a full closure of the highway in both directions and traffic movement will be diverted to Abdullah Rahman Al Fadhel Avenue for traffic going to Manama and to Road 1655 (the Service Road) for eastbound traffic going to Arad, starting on Friday from 12am to 12pm.

In the second stage, two lanes will be closed in both directions and one lane will be provided for traffic in both directions on Friday from noon to 11.30pm.

In the third stage, the highway will be fully closed in both directions and traffic movement will be diverted to Abdullah Rahman Al Fadhel Avenue for traffic going to Manama and to Road 1655 (the Service Road) for eastbound traffic going to Arad on Saturday from 12am to 4pm.
