KUWAIT CITY - The Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy has issued a tender for the supply and installation of two main transmission stations on Bubiyan Island “11 / 132kV Voltage”.

Informed sources in the ministry said the Central Agency for Public Tenders has agreed to float the tender Sunday, next April 25 has been set as the deadline to receive bids, as companies classified by the committee will submit their bids to CAPT on the specified date if not extended and the decision to award the tender to the best bidder, financially and technically, in accordance with the regulations and clauses of the Public Tenders Law.

The sources indicated the awarding decision will be followed by reviewing and checking the tender papers and documents by the supervisory authorities, then signing the contract, supply and installation.

The sources explained that project for the two stations comes within the framework of the ministry’s plan to supply the Mubarak Al-Kabeer Port and Bubiyan Island with electric power, pointing out that it is a first step on the way to providing the region with electricity and water as one of the new areas and various development projects that the state will implement in accordance with development plans and to achieve Kuwait 2035 vision in cooperation and coordination with the concerned authorities.

The sources mentioned the Mubarak Al-Kabeer Port and Bubiyan Island project is one of the major state projects that aim to modernize and develop the maritime transport sector and create new urban communities that provide alternative sources of income for the state
