Cairo – Mubasher: Investments in water and wastewater sectors in the Egyptian governorate of Damietta have reached EGP 1.7 billion over the last six years, chairman of Damietta Water & Wastewater Company, Mohamd Badawy Asal, said.

Five water projects have been implemented at a cost of EGP 229 million, Asal added in a statement released by the Ministry of Housing on Monday.

In addition, five wastewater projects have also been built at a cost of EGP 801 million, he revealed.

Moreover, the company also worked on performance development to improve the services provided to citizens at a cost of EGP 628 million by upgrading and raising the efficiency of several water pumping stations and water and wastewater networks.
