UAE: IMKAN, Abu Dhabi-based real estate developer, has awarded Bymaro, a specialised company in building and civil engineering projects in Morocco, a two-year mall construction contract worth AED 134 million.

Under the contract, Bymaro will build Le Carrousel Mall, the first open-air shopping mall in Morocco which will be located at IMKAN’s Rabat-based project, Le Carrousel, according to a press release on Monday.

The construction of the Le Carrousel Mall has begun and is due for completion in the fourth quarter (Q4) of 2022. 

Spanning 33,000 square metres, Le Carrousel Mall will be home to local and international franchises, F&B outlets, entertainment, and leisure activities.

The mall is designed by architect Ernesto Klingenberg of the Spanish design firm, L35.

The contract with Bymaro is the second contract to be awarded for the Le Carrousel valued at AED 212 million, as the establishment of its first phase was won by SOGEA MAROC, the subsidiary of the French Group Vinci.

Construction of Le Carrousel’s first phase began early this year and is due for completion in the third quarter (Q3) of 2022.
