Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI), in cooperation with the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, announced a new programme called Commercial Franchise on Sunday to support small and medium enterprises.

Speaking to Muscat Daily, an OCCI official said, “The programme includes training and advisory workshops on commercial franchising with the objective of spreading the culture of commercial franchising among business owners in the sultanate.”

Under the programme, SME owners will be provided training and consultations. “The chamber will conduct the first programme, spread over four days, in Muscat starting February 20. Soon we will announce dates for all other governorates.”

The programme will also include working papers and legal information about commercial franchising. “It also aims to help business owners expand the volume of their businesses and share successful experiences.”
