The Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research (KISR) is expected to award the feasibility study and design consultancy contract for its fish and shrimp production complex project, Kuwait City, by the second quarter of 2023, according to source.

“The tender for the study and design consultancy contract was issued on 23 October 2022. The bid submission is scheduled on 5 March 2023,” a source aware of the project details told Zawya Projects.

He said the contract award is expected by end of May 2023.

The scope includes feasibility study for the project, detailed design plan for buildings in the complex, infrastructure design and preparation of tender documents.

The project is slated for completion in fourth quarter 2026, a second source said, adding that his estimate of the project cost is $30 million.
