Bahrain City Centre glitters with its highly advanced design and construction features
Manama - MAF Investments - Bahrain hosted the "Youths Architects" Group which is a volunteer group of students from Architecture Colleges in Bahrain in a visit to the Bahrain City Centre construction site with the aim of sounding out the progress of this major project and familiarizing the students with the implementation of designs and plans undertaken there.
"Youths Architects" welcomed MAF investment's invitation to visit Bahrain City Centre which is regarded as the biggest integrated and comprehensive centre in Bahrain as it houses a 4-star hotel, a 5-star hotel, 20-screen cinema complex, and indoor-outdoor water park, that is the biggest of its kind in the region, as well as many entertainment facilities. Such visit gives the students an opportunity to know more about the combined harmonized projects under one roof.
Engineer David McGuigan presented to the students highlights of the construction phases from the initial phases until the project completion.
Security and Safety Manager Engineer Mohsin Al Tajer also presented focuses on the importance of safety and professional practices implemented in the project to avoid any losses and damages.
Al Tajer said "We in the Bahrain City Centre project put human resource safety on the top of our priorities and we put down high professional regulations and rules of safety that meet the international standards which should be adhered by labors, engineers and visitors."
"We regularly and unexpectedly make trial warnings to make sure that our labors are able to understand and follow the safety procedures." Said Al Tajer. "We present monthly awards for those who bring about good suggestions and ideas."
"Youths Architects" toured Bahrain City Centre accompanied by Engineer David and Al Tajer as well as a number of Safety and Professional Health officers.
The student Mahdi Al Jalawi from "Youths Architects" said "we would like to thank MAF investment for their invitation. Indeed we enjoyed this distinguished visit in which we had great benefits as we familiarized ourselves with some issues that we haven't crossed in our theoretical studies which helped us to bridge the distance between study and professional life."
He added "Bahrain City Centre boasts advanced design and construction features and students' visits to such major projects provides the young engineers with an opportunity to be more creative and confident"
Al Jalawi praised the professional Safety and Health presentation pointing out that this is the first time for "Youths Architects" to have an opportunity to be involved in such an informative lecture, the thing which reflects how much the projects officials are interested in safety issue.
Mr. Maher Al Shaer, Deputy Chairman of MAF Investments - Bahrain welcomed the visit as he hailed the Youths Architects enthusiasm and wished them the best of success, confirming that the future will be more prosperous and promising as Bahrain boasts such young ambitious engineers.
