Dubai, United Arab Emirates (06 September, 2011) - Nissan Middle East has made every hardcore dune basher's dream come true this month by offering the short wheelbase (SWB), three-door Nissan Patrol Hard Top with its awesome 4.8-litre TB48DE 4800 6-cylinder engine.

Mated for the first time with a five-speed automatic transmission on the current generation and six-speed manual gearbox with synchromesh on all gears and mounted in the go-anywhere, rugged, super all-terrain short-wheelbase body of the Nissan Patrol Hard Top three-door, the TB48DE 4800 delivers 280bhp and 46 kg-m/ 3600 rpm torque. Equipped with 24 valves and variable valve timing, the TB48DE 4800 is the power behind the throne of the 'King of the desert'.

Designed to tackle anything the desert can throw at it, the SWB Nissan Patrol Hard Top's suspension is tuned to all terrain specification as standard and is supplemented by a Rear Differential Lock to help you plough through the soft sand. A CD/AUX/MP3 player provides the soundtrack of your choice while SWB Nissan Patrol Hard Top's cool box chills your vital drink supply. An electric winch is also fitted as standard.

Back on the road, and SWB Nissan Patrol Hard Top's Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) and dual front airbags provide reassurance while the sunroof gives the cabin an airy feel to remind you of the desert.

The three-door Nissan Patrol Hard Top is currently available at all Nissan showrooms across the GCC region.
