United Arab Emirates, Dubai- 31st March 2008: SAE Institute Dubai, unrivaled creative media education provider in the fields of Audio Engineering, Digital Animation, Multimedia, Filmmaking and Electronic Music Production, is geared up for its upcoming Advanced Compositing short course which is scheduled to commence on 3rd May 2008.
Mr. Marco Bettelli, Managing Director SAE Asia Pacific and Middle East commented, "As SAE Institute Dubai continues to enjoy a close and mutually beneficial relationship with the Creative Media industry, we feel that is our responsibility to provide specialized courses in the specific professional disciplines. We take great pride in contributing to the elevation of quality standards within the industry and by offering such courses, we are giving the professionals in the industry the tools and knowledge needed to advance their outputs in their fields."
The 12-week course is designed to appeal to film, animation , visual effects students, and visual communication students who wish to continue their studies in this specific field and to qualified industry professionals who are looking to further their skills. Advanced techniques, methods, day to day industry challenges and their solutions would all be part of the learning at the Advanced Compositing course.
The Advanced Compositing short course promises to underline the principles and foundations of compositing, rather than just insight into the use of applications. Widely employed in film and video motion picture production, compositing is the combining of visual elements from separate sources into single images, often to create the illusion that all those elements are parts of the same scene.
Today, the industry is relying more and more on digital image manipulation. Pre-digital compositing techniques and computer softwares are widely used in this process, whereby layering, color correction, and manipulation, blend many different images to make the
final image look like a seamless shot.
SAE Institute's Advanced Compositing short course addresses the challenges compositors face in a practical manner by focusing on the aspects to follow: Color theories; Motion tracking; Chroma keying; Perspective and depth of field; Matte painting; 2D Motion graphics; 3D Motion graphics; and Compositing in 3D.
The course will refine students' use of the practical applications for composition in a digital compositing environment. These are: Blue screen, Green Screens, Stock footage/ Motion pictures for backgrounds, Sky, and Nature footage for replacements. Main softwares used in the duration of the course are: Apple Shake; Adobe AfterEffects and Adobe Photoshop.
