According to Hugh Fraser International well-negotiated contracts underpin a successful business

The shifting geopolitical climate and technological developments within the oil and gas industry are having a significant impact on the laws, regulations and contracts within this sector.  These trends make it all the more imperative that both legal and non-legal industry professionals continually refresh their understanding and commercial awareness of contract issues pertaining to the oil and gas industry.

Hugh Fraser International (HFI), the Dubai headquartered legal and business consultancy, is addressing this need with a series International Oil and Gas Law Training Programmes, especially tailored for engineers, finance and commercial managers.  The first course, an 'Overview of International Oil and Gas Law Contracts' will be held at the Novotel World Trade Centre Hotel in Dubai on March 26 - 27, 2008.

The event is aimed at non-legal professionals and is the first in a series of courses that will give delegates the opportunity to improve their commercial awareness and negotiation skills through assessing key legal and contract risks.

"In today's business environment, companies cannot afford to take risks in the content of contract laws with suppliers, partners and employees," said Hugh Fraser, managing partner of Hugh Fraser International Legal Consultancy and HFI Ventures International Business Consultancy.  "This course is designed to provide non-legal and legal professionals with the ability to assess key legal and contract risks, which will ensure their business has professionally-developed, well-negotiated contracts.''

The two-day intensive course will also offer attendees valuable networking opportunities and contacts within the oil and gas industry and will enhance their knowledge of the energy sector.  HFI is an international legal and business consultancy service with offices in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, Doha, Qatar, Aberdeen, Scotland and Perth, Western Australia, focused on supporting its clients' international business interests.
