Middle-East Premier for New HP Latex Printer at Sign and Graphic Imaging Exhibition

DUBAI, UAE, 1^st February 2012 - HP presents the recently launched HP Designjet L28500 and HP Designjet L26500 Printers as part of its wide-ranging product line-up at the Sign and Graphic Imaging Middle East Exhibition 2012.

The event marks the first appearance of the HP Designjet L28500 Printer in the Middle East, which forms part of a product showcase that also includes the HP Designjet Z5200/Z6200 Photo Printers, as well as the high-volume flatbed HP Scitex FB700 Printer.

As the very latest additions to its growing latex printing portfolio, the HP Designjet L28500 and HP Designjet L26500 Printers enable a broader range of indoor and outdoor signage applications with better durability than eco-solvent inks.⁽¹⁾ The new 2.64m (104in)-wide HP Designjet L28500 Printer delivers speeds up to 70 percent faster⁽²⁾ than the HP Designjet L25500 Printer, while the 1.55m (61in) HP Designjet L26500 Printer is ideal for customers entering the growing soft-signage⁽³⁾ market.

Both the HP Designjet L28500 and HP Designjet L26500 Printers feature new water-based HP 792 Latex Designjet Inks, which produce rich blacks and glossy results on banners and self-adhesive vinyl, and offer double-sided printing capabilities⁽⁴⁾ with less user intervention and more accurate, automated registration.

Alongside HP's new latex introductions, the HP Designjet Z5200 PostScript Printer is a low cost, 1118mm (44in) photo production printer that can image a range of media at speeds up to 4m²/hr (445ft²/hr). Ideal for copyshops entering into large format printing, the HP Designjet Z5200 can print on photographic, proofing and fine art printing materials, self-adhesive, banner and backlit media as well as fabrics and textiles.

Similarly, the HP Designjet Z6200 Photo Printer uses HP Vivid Photo Inks to deliver high-quality output and the highest speeds of large format printers in its price class.⁽⁵⁾ Designed for photo labs, digital print shops, advertising agencies, design firms and commercial printers, the HP Designjet Z6200 Photo Printer series delivers photo-quality prints at 2,400dpi and versatility for indoor applications from line drawings to photographic output to signage.

Also on display in Dubai is the HP Scitex FB500 Printer, a robust and versatile printer offering the ability to print on both rigid and flexible media for indoor and outdoor applications at speeds up to 37m²/hr (398ft²/hr) (Express mode). Using UV-curable ink, the printer can handle rigid substrates up to 6.4cm (2.5in), print up to four sheets at once, and produce double-sided prints and full-bleed printing, making it ideal for PSPs who want to expand into new markets.
