Local customers and partners get a chance to preview Microsoft's latest technologies including Office 2010, SQL Server 2008; Visio 2010 and Project 2010

Muscat, Oman: April 27th, 2010: Microsoft Oman today previewed a suite of its latest technologies including Office 2010, SQL Server 20008, Visio 2010 and Project 2010. The company's new offerings were showcased to customers and partners at Comex, the largest telecom and technology show in the Sultanate of Oman.

§         Collaborate better with co-authoring and advanced e-mail management and calendaring capabilities in Microsoft Outlook 2010, including Outlook Social Connector which is a new capability that brings social networking feeds into the inbox

§         Bring ideas to life with video and picture editing and broadcast capability in Microsoft PowerPoint 2010 and new Sparklines in Microsoft Excel 2010 to visualize data clearly

With SQL Server 2008, Microsoft continues to build on the Information Platform Vision by enabling businesses to deliver near real-time information through rich applications. It delivers several breakthrough capabilities that enable organizations to scale database operations with confidence, improve IT and developer efficiency and enable highly scalable and well managed business intelligence capabilities.
