Dubai, UAE - Although digital branding is traditionally associated with businesses, more and more educational institutions are starting to recognize its value and there is an increase in such institutions adopting this in their strategy to help build reputation, attract top faculty and students; and create awareness for their programmes. In this context, global media intelligence firm Meltwater is hosting a business breakfast event for marketers, PR and communications professionals from the education sector.

Guest speaker Kate Chandler, Associate Director Public Affairs at New York University of Abu Dhabi will highlight the importance of digital branding for educational providers in today's digital age. The free-to-attend event will take place on 9th of May at the Media One Hotel in Dubai Media City at 9 AM.

Zubair Timol, Area Director for India, Middle East & Africa at Meltwater explains, "This is our first business breakfast series held in Dubai after seeing the success of similar events in Paris, London and Amsterdam. Our aim is to create awareness among different sectors about the reach and importance of adopting best practices in digital marketing, content creation and media monitoring. Our first series in Dubai will focus on the education sector. Education providers, be it universities, business schools or executive education institutions, are using social media to communicate with alumni, current and prospective students, and faculty members. It has become a pivotal tool for recruitment, marketing and public relations, and at our event we will examine the current and future role of digital media in branding and how you can measure the effectiveness of your programmes."

Participants will hear how social media is shaping online reputation and take away practical guidance on elevating educational institutions' brand in the digital age. The event will also highlight top tips for brand management, creation of a consistent voice across platforms and tailoring content specific to influencers. Attendees will gain in-depth knowledge about the best practice in building a successful social media presence, and the importance of monitoring tools to help measure the ROI and impact of campaigns.

According to Kate Chandler, Associate Director Public Affairs at New York University of Abu Dhabi, "Brand storytelling is a critical component of the modern marketing strategy. In this age of constant contact between brands and consumers, it is more important than ever to ensure that you are sharing unique, enduring content that resonates with your audience. Educational institutions are uniquely placed to take advantage of new digital platforms to tell our brand story, but we must take a strategic implementation approach to ensure audience needs, both internal and external, are being met."

It is a free to attend event for senior marketing, PR and communications professionals and seats are limited to 50 attendees. Attendance booking can be done through the Meltwater website: www.meltwater.com/ae/business-breakfast-universities-dubai/
