Amman, Jordan: Under the patronage of his excellency Aqaba Governor, MAN Diesel & Turbo, the world market leader manufacturer for large bore diesel engines for use in ships and power plants, opened a new branch in Aqaba under the name MAN Diesel & Turbo Jordan. The new branch will provide the Jordanian and neighboring markets with maintenance services, technical support and spare parts to MAN diesel engines that are used in power plants and ships. These services will also be provided to turbo machineries of all sizes and models.
MAN Diesel & Turbo Jordan will provide these services and spare parts to stationary and marine diesel engines for clients in Jordan and international marine shipping lines in Aqaba ports under the supervision of qualified and experienced engineers.
The Company will also work on developing after-sales services including repair and maintenance, provision of spare parts, recycling, and monitoring all MAN Diesel & Turbo large engines and turbo machines used across the South East Mediterranean and the Near East.
For his part, MAN Diesel & Turbo SE board member Dr. Stephan Timmermann said: "We are very glad to open a branch in the Jordanian market. This step comes in response to clients needs in the Kingdom, such as power plants and ships owners to provide them with the last updated MAN technologies."
The opening ceremony was held at Movenpick Hotel Aqaba on the 4th of July, 2012. MAN Diesel & Turbo SE board member Dr. Stephan Timmermann, and Managing Director, Mr. Ibrahim Al Khatib attended the opening, in addition to wide number of customers and business partners. A dinner party was held later in the Movenpick Hotel.
