Additions Include Dual-Award Winning 23-inch Screen
Global and regional digital leader, LG Electronics has strengthened its regional offering of LCD and CRT monitors by adding a further five new models to its market leading regional Flatron line-up.
The five new models, across a number of screen sizes and categories, will further enhance the Korean giant’s brand leadership in the Middle East monitor sector.
“LG’s strategy for monitors is to have the widest range across a number of screen sizes of any brand in the market,” said Mr. P. C. Choi, President LG Electronics Gulf FZE.
“The LG range gives customers the chance to choose the monitor size they need and then refine their choice to take into account exactly what they want the screen to achieve.”
In the 15-inch division, LG has added the L1510T Flatron LCD screen to its range. The new screen adds a TV tuner to its attractive slim-bezel designed 15-inch TFT LCD screen with in-built multi-media speakers. With the addition of picture-in-picture functionality, the screen is bound to appeal to the small-office-home-office environment.
Additions to LG’s 18-inch and 23-inch Flatron LCD categories also come with TV tuners. The L1810T bolsters the already popular 18-inch screen sector whilst the 23-inch L2320T targets the high end user.
“The L2320A is one of our flagship Flatron screens,” said Choi. “It has won two international design awards already which is an amazing achievement as it only debuted this year.”
Winner of the prestigious IF Design Award and the Red Dot Design Award, the L2320A screen features a ‘media-centre’ that allows numerous inputs to be connected to the screen via a single cable.
An independent jury of well-known international experts selects well designed products from a large number of entries for ‘Red Dot’ distinction, a seal of quality known and respected world wide. Products that impress the jury with particularly outstanding design quality are eligible for the ‘Red Dot’ – ‘best-of-the-best’ award.
In the 19-inch category, LG has added to both its CRT and LCD Flatron ranges. On the CRT front, the T910BU makes its Middle East debut at Gitex. Suitable for a variety of multi-media applications the screen suits home, office and educational environments.
The ultra-slim 19-inch Flatron L1910B LCD screen bridges LG’s 18-inch and 20-inch screens giving LG’s upper end of the range ultimate versatility.
Engineers and graphic designers will be wowed by the 20 inch professional series L2010P, which features a pivoting screen function as standard.
LG’s 30-inch range is boosted by two stunning wide screen display monitors, models L3020A and L3000A, which give every kind of user enough screen real estate for every kind of operation.
The duo of high brightness (450 cd/m2) TFT-LCD monitors are wall mountable, come with remote controlled AV functions, picture-in-picture and 1280 x 768 WXGA resolution.
LG can develop a wide range of LCD screens because it is the world’s largest producer of LCD panels through the LG:Philips factory in Korea. The partnership production facility shipped ten million LCD panel units in the first seven months of this year, setting a global industry record.
“The LG Flatron range has such depth and functionality that everyone will be able to find a screen that exactly fits their requirements,” said Choi.
