FTTH Council Middle East & North Africa (MENA) launched the first Fiber Optics certified training for FTTH and FTTH Design through 5 days program. As part of the council's mission the training helps promoting the FTTH technology as the best future proof technology for ultra high speed broadband in the MENA region.
Beirut, 13 July 2012- As result of the joint seminar organized by FTTH Council MENA and FOA last May in Beirut with the support of the Ministry of Telecom of Lebanon, the first certified FTTH training was launched from 9 to 13 July 2012 in Riviera Hotel, Beirut. The training was part of an educational program and technical knowledge about Fiber optics and FTTH Design.
Participants from Bazy Co. Saudi Arabia, Fiberwaves Lebanon, Jaidah Group Qatar, Pesco Telecom Lebanon and Detecon Saudi Arabia, attended the 5 days programs using the technology and laboratory exercises on the latest sophisticated equipments for FTTH Design, deployment, test and measurements.
Based on the FOA educational program provided by direct FOA instructor, the training program was successfully completed and participants received 3 certificates for CFOT, CFOS-Home and CFOS- Design.
Following this successful event and the requests received for additional courses, FTTH Council MENA will hold the next training in Amman, Jordan during November 2012.
