The award-winning top-of-the-line CR system is on display at Arab Health 2007 along with the latest Kodak offerings of Digital Capture Solutions.

30th January 2007 - Dubai, United Arab Emirates - Kodak's Health Group announced that their KODAK DIRECTVIEW CR 975 System has recently earned a prestigious 2006 "Best in KLAS" Award in the computed radiography market segment from KLAS Enterprises. KLAS is a private and independent organization that provides vendor performance ratings for a wide range of healthcare technologies.

The CR 975 System is part of Kodak's broad portfolio of digital medical imaging devices. The top-of-the-line CR 975 system marries image quality enhancements with excellent throughput made possible by its ability to handle 16 cassettes at a time. The CR 975 System also offers 50 micron scanning to perform digital mammography exams.

The award-winning CR 975 System is on display at Arab Health 2007 along with other innovative products from Kodak's Health Group. These innovations include, naming a few, the compact KODAK Point-of-Care CR-ITX 560 System, the KODAK DirectView DR9500 System, and the Virtual Access Desktop for KODAK CARESTREAM Radiology Solutions.

The KODAK Point-of-Care CR-ITX 560 System is an integrated portable X-ray/computed radiography system for mobile medical imaging applications.

The CR-ITX 560 System delivers excellent image quality and an efficient digital workflow for a wide range of facilities that conduct standard bedside diagnostic x-ray imaging, including intensive care units, clinics, nursing homes and hospitals of all sizes.

The CR-ITX 560 system provides an affordable and practical way for film-based healthcare facilities to achieve increased flexibility and reduced retakes through digital capture of portable exams.  The new system also provides increased productivity for healthcare facilities that currently have a digital imaging workflow. This mobile system readily provides digital images for integration into existing networks and eliminates the need for technologists to walk CR cassettes to a central processing area.

The new KODAK DIRECTVIEW DR 9500 digital radiography system features a design that allows it to move around the patient to facilitate patient positioning and enhance technologist convenience and productivity. This design, along with automated exam settings and other features, improves the speed of each exam while minimizing the need for patient movement. This can enhance care, especially for patients who are seriously ill or are in pain. The KODAK DR 9500 system is scheduled to be available worldwide in the second quarter of 2007.

To optimize optimize workflow by enabling healthcare facilities and satellite locations to efficiently view and output patient images captured with KODAK computed radiography (CR) or digital radiography (DR) systems, Kodak have launched.

The Virtual Access Desktop for KODAK CARESTREAM Radiology Solutions, which is an entry-level workstation that helps facilitate the transition to a digital environment by equipping technologists, medical staff and clinical users with basic image review, advanced printing capabilities and short-term storage.
