Next edition of the shows to take place 19th - 22nd May 2014with the new show sector, 'Iconic'

Dubai, May 23^rd, 2013 -Show organiser, dmg events successfully concluded the 23^rd edition of INDEX and the 12^th edition of The Office Exhibition today by announcing the winner of the People's Choice Award for the popular Contemporary Majlis Competition. The Majlisdesigned by Ashok Radhakrishnan and PreethiSreedharawas chosen as the winner by INDEX visitors from the four finalist projects. More than 2,500 show visitors cast their votes in this year's Awards, and their decision provided a second winner in this year's competition, following the jury's decision to awardLOCI architecture+design on Monday. 

dmg events also confirmed the launchof a new show sector for INDEX, 'Iconic', new for next year's editions, and announced 2014 showdates as 19^th May and run till22^nd May.

Commenting on the new show's sector, Frederique Maurell, Event Director for INDEX and The Office Exhibitions, said:  "Over the last editions, we have seen more and more luxury design brands booking their space at INDEX and the number of prestigious and high-end interior design projects in the Middle East keeps growing.'Iconic' will be the perfect sourcing platform for architects and designers working on these projects; it will also give the opportunity to collectors and affluent design enthusiasts to discover the latest trends in luxury furniture, furnishings, lighting and textiles."

The Majlis designed by Ashok Radhakrishnan and PreethiSreedhara,  Mo-DIY - Modular Do-It-Yourself Majlis, is a customizable concept. Users can personalize and make the Majlis according to their preference.  Materials are both recycled and natural.
